Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College has been established and run by Mathammal Sheela Trust. Tharamangalam, Salem district with a view to serve the rural area. The Objective of starting the institution is to supplement Government's efforts to provide professional education to the needy students on non-commerical basis. This is a Christian Minority Institution to serve the poor students.

The College, having about hundred acres of land is located at Erumapatty which is about 15 Kms from Namakkal Town. The headquarters of Namakkal District.The site is adjoining the Namakkal - Thuraiyur State Highway and in the gorgeous background of Kolli Hills. The fresh air, sweet medicated water seeping from Kolli Hills, well known for its medicinal plants, and vast area make the campus very healthy.

The serene area provides a conductive atmosphere for the students to concentrate on their studies. The existing building consists of Administrative Block, Electrical Engineering Block, Electronics and Communication Engineering Block, Computer Engineering Block, Library Block, Conference Hall, Hostel Blocks, Two Messes, Amenities Block and Residential Accommodation for the staff members of the college. The total building plinth area is 3,50,000 sq.ft and the estimated value is Rs. 25 crores.
