About The Department
The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2009 and presently it offers under graduate program in Civil Engineering. The Department is equipped with excellent laboratory facilities since its inspection. Civil Engineers are nation builders in a sense. The department is equipped with a library, computer centre with latest design and analysis softwares.
The mission of the department is to impart knowledge and excellence in civil engineering and technology with global perspectives to our students and to make them ethically strong engineers to build our nation.
The vision is to provide valuable based education in engineering technology and management. To make the department a centre of excellence in the field of civil engineering and allied research. And also to provide knowledge base and consultancy services to the community in all areas of civil engineering. To promote innovative and original thinking in the minds of budding engineers to face the challenges of future.

Achievements (2010-2011)
• Mr. M. Subramani, CAD Engineer, Penta CAD, Namakkal, has trained our Civil Engineering students from 20. 10. 2010 to 23.10.2010.in related with Civil Engineering soft wares like AutoCAD etc.,
• Mr.D. Karunanidhi M.Sc., M.Phil., (Ph.D) young scientist fellowship TamilNadu state council for science and technology (2010-2011),Lecturer, Department of Civil Engineering, Jayam College of Engineering Technology Dharmapuri -636813. has presented Guest Lecturer on “ Advanced Trends in Geospatial on 25.09.2010”,
• All Civil Engineering Staff members are attended FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME at Our College.
• Our students 20 members are attended National Seminar in “IMPACT OF LPG IN INDIA BUSINESS SCENARIO” on 26.02.2011.
