About The Department
The department of information technology was established in the year 2000 and grown in eminence by way of producing IT professionals with excellence that fit for the needs of the software.
A Team of dedicated and well- qualified and experienced team of faculty members with varied experience in areas of Computer Networks ,Object Oriented Design Computer Graphics,Image Processing , Distributed Computing , Sensor Networks and Database Management System , involves in the vision of shaping the student's Career.
The department offers a competent academic with excellent lab facilities and outstanding resour ces. Seminars, Symposiums , Guest Lectures arranged for students.The department has various Software's like java,Dot Net, Linux,Oracle,Mysql,Tomcat,PHP,etc,

Dynamic Group of Information Technologists(DGIT)
Dynamic Group of Information Technologists(DGIT) is an enigmatic group of young software engineers. It is an association formed by the students pursuing B.Tech(Information technology) in Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College.
The association was inaugurated on August 2003 in an eloquent and high-flown manner by the college Chairman and Principal. The association focuses on the upliftment of students. Many events like seminars, training programs and other cultural activities were implemented by our association

Achievements:
•Students and Faculty members of the department has actively participated and initiated several workshops and symposiums.
• Department has organized a workshop on “Computer Networking” and a technical symposium ITRIX’10 was conducted on 22 & 23 Sep’10.
• Our department has produced 97% result in the final year and overall pass percentage is 85.4% in the academic year 2009-2010. 100 % Placed who those are eligible students.
• Apart for curricular activities, our students have also participated in co-curricular and extra curricular activities conducted in other colleges.
• 20 students has participated & presented papers in technical symposium and other design contest and 4 students have won II prize for paper presentation conducted and 5 students won prize for Design contest.
• Our final year student Joice George has won I prize in Table Tennis at Zonal University Championship and is selected and going to represent Anna University of Technology, CBE National team to be held at GOA.
• 51 students have gone for an Industrial visit to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore. 5 students have gone for Inplant training for duration of 7 days at BSNL office, Erode.
